The Liberal Democrats

When trying to discover the origin of the Ulster democratic Unionist Party, it is necessary to trace its roots back to the liberalising policies of the Official Unionist Party under Capt. Terence O'Neill during the 1960's. Capt. O'Neill had taken over the leadership of the OUP from Lord Brookeborough, and led it on a course of liberalism. Visits of Lemass and Lynch from Dublin to Stormont were the start of the treachery and it was Dr Paisley and his colleagues alone, who protested at these acts. O'Neill called an election known as    The Green Party aims to create a just, equitable and sustainable society. We focus our efforts primarily, though not exclusively, through the electoral system.  This site aims to be a valuable resource for finding the latest news and events concerning the Liberal Democrats.  The Natural Law Party brings to politics the knowledge through which human life can be raised to the same level of perfection with which Natural Law eternally governs the entire universe. Every individual and every area of society can enjoy the effortless skill in action that characterises Natural Law itself.

Scottish We are a small party, with a membership of around 500 (but rising). We are now more determined to offer a Green alternative to the grey parties, which have dominated the political landscape in this country for so long. We have two conferences each year (one in spring and one in autumn), which are open to members of other Green parties visiting Scotland. We have set up a party office in the same building as the MSP. Green      The SNP is a democratic left-of-centre political party committed to Scottish independence. It aims to create a just, caring and enterprising society in the mainstream of modern Europe by releasing Scotland's full potential as an independent nation.

SinnFein is the oldest political party in Ireland - welcome to our official web site. We take our name from the Irish Gaelic expression for ``We ourselves''. Since being founded in 1905 we have worked for the right of Irish people as a whole to attain national self-determination, and have elected representatives in every major Irish town and city.      Social Democratic & Labour Party    The Act of Union (1801) put a political stamp on the economic, cultural and ancestral links that had existed between the peoples of the British Isles since the earliest recorded history. Today those links remain the rationale for the union. Despite breaking from the Union, the Irish Republic remains a component part of the British Isles economy. Northern Ireland (N.I.) chose to remain within the Union and her people have continued to do so.    The Green Party is radically different from the other mainstream political parties in Wales. Our policies reflect the fact that we see issues as being inter-related, rather than just isolated 'election winners'. The Green Party proposes radical, sustainable solutions that remove the source of the problem rather than just trying to cure the symptoms.    The Socialist Party campaigns, as part of working class communities, against all the attacks of the government and big business - from the privatisation of the NHS to the destruction of our environment. We fight for a socialist society based on meeting the needs of all, instead of the current capitalist system that exists to provide profits for a few billionaire fat cats. Join us! We are affiliated to the Committee for a Workers International (CWI), which fights for socialism in 35 countries world wide.
